Fish Hoek Scribblers, formerly called the Fish Hoek Writers' Circle, is a creative writing group that meets once a month in Fish Hoek, a suburb of Cape Town in South Africa. Meetings are usually held on the fourth Wednesday of the month (except December). Meetings are open to anybody - there are no joining requirements or membership fees. Each person attending a meeting simply pays a R10 donation to cover the cost of hiring the venue and to pay for tea and coffee. Meetings are occasionally led by professional writers but most of the time participants take turns conducting writing exercises.
